Red Rocket nailed it on our Divisions' websites. Clients are telling us they now get what we mean by collective strength, and that’s helped our marketing. Thanks for the great work!
NorLand Limited (formerly the Pacific Group of Companies) is the umbrella company for 12 individual construction-related divisions. Each NorLand division is a separate company that works independently or with other divisions depending on the size and scope of a project.
Following re-branding tied to its recent name change, NorLand management asked Red Rocket Creative Strategies to develop individual websites for its divisions. NorLand’s primary goals were to:
- Develop a consistent look and theme amongst the divisions while being sensitive to costs
- Present each company as part of NorLand Limited
- Quickly establish the various strengths of each company
- Facilitate employee recruitment
- Make the sites simple to maintain and update internally
To meet the goal of a consistent look with economy, we developed a three-level template system that provides clean and simple navigation while offering a customizable structure depending on each company’s needs. The templates offer a range of complexity-dependent options for menus, sidebars, imagery, video, social media and more that allows the various divisions to promote their respective capabilities and experience.
To reinforce the concept of various divisions working together and also feature the scope of group capabilities, a sidebar on each page features rotating division logos and a link to the main NorLand website. Each page refresh features a new project and service with links the respective sections. Detailed careers pages provide easy-to-use forms and links for uploading cover pages and resumes to management.
We built the templates and sites in Drupal which offers a very clean and easy-to-use CMS (content management system) that each division uses to maintain and update its respective website.
The resulting suite of sites not only helps prospective clients understand the experience and core strength of each division; they highlight how the various divisions could partner together to provide more services and capabilities.
