Goldcorp’s Above Ground magazine was created to help communicate the company’s social responsibility vision: Together, Creating Sustainable Value. Above Ground brings to life the many positive contributions Goldcorp makes to the communities in which it operates.
Red Rocket Creative Strategies was hired to refresh Above Ground’s design and give it a bolder, more colourful and approachable look with stronger imagery. We started with the cover and masthead, where striking photos on both pages helped draw readers in. Bold colours highlighted feature descriptions and the Table of Contents. Inside we used similar blocks of solid colour to highlight the magazine’s various section headings and also add visibility to key information and employee pull quotes.
The overall effect is a more engaging publication with the look and feel of a modern magazine. Above Ground was printed on FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified stock. Printing was Carbon Neutral through Hemlock Printers’ “Zero” program.
