Appia came to Red Rocket with a need to freshen up and modernize their corporate identity.
The Appia Group is responsible for some of our region’s most vibrant and sustainable communities. From Vancouver Island to the Lower Mainland and Whistler, they’ve built a reputation as a discerning developer with a focus on excellence. Their properties are renowned for their style, quality, enduring value, and above all, homeowner satisfaction. Appia came to Red Rocket with a need to freshen up and modernize their corporate identity. However, the client was NOT looking for a wholesale change, but more of a refresh or an update. Red Rocket agreed that the existing identity had a lot of equity and that a complete change was not required. However, we did notice that the existing word mark set in a serif typeface needed a bolder direction. The final solution was a strong, sans serif for both the main word mark, “Appia” and “Group of Companies.” The compass rose was enlarged and customized with further detail and refined to work seamlessly with the word mark below. The result is a bolder, crisper and more “unified” corporate mark for this well-established developer.
